“on.” episode 13 – The Uglysuit HOLIDAY SEASON FINALE

by
  • SEASON’S GREETINGS

Holiday breaks are a time for people to slow down for a while, but The Uglysuit hasn’t had much time to rest.

  • “Chicago” by THE UGLYSUIT – LIVE @ THE CONSERVATORY

  • “1902, Deep Ocean” by THE UGLYSUIT – LIVE @ THE CONSERVATORY

I caught up with the OKC sextet at The Conservatory the day before Thanksgiving at a benefit show.

Somehow, I managed to sit down all six members of the band to discuss how it operates like a family. It was no simple task to get everyone to sit down in one place, but I learned the trick is to use rhino tranquilizers and a couch.

  • FAMILY MATTERS (From left Crosby Bray, Dustin Maynord, Colin Bray, Kyle Mayfield, Israel Hindman and Jonathan Martin)

I thought talking about family was an interesting topic because The Uglysuit was performing in front of several of its family members and for other families too.

Positive Tomorrows, an OKC organization working to educate and help the homeless, collected canned goods for the less fortunate.

The tunes were good and it was all for a good cause.

Not a bad way give thanks this year.

  • A FOND FAREWELL

This is the last episode for the first season of “on.” and I hope you’ve enjoyed our videos. If you have any interest in the show or any ideas drop a comment or shoot an e-mail to nathan.poppe@okstate.edu.

We are looking forward to being back next semester with more sounds from Stillwater and Oklahoma.

I hope you’ll join us.

  • SPECIAL THANKS GOES TO

Dean and Dianna Wilhite for letting the “on.” crew rest at their home.

The Conservatory for letting us steal a couch from inside the venue. Check out who’s playing there now.

  • MORE UGLYSUIT HERE

This isn’t the first time “on.” has tangoed with The Uglysuit.
